Abstract

This piece of writing reveals how the factors influencing universityindustry collaborations referred to as predictors in the text affect the results. Specifically, it looks at data collected from Indonesia's private universities and analyzes their results using a partial least squares structural equation model. The findings showed that research done at schools collaborating with industry sectors produced higher academic performance. “Finding ways to collaborate with other stakeholders outside the university, such as research institutions, competitors, customers and suppliers, led to more innovative ideas. This was due to universities being able to work with these groups to better enhance their ability to collaborate and create competitive advantages. Combining skills in research and development with innovation allows students to learn how to interact with the workforce while also increasing their understanding of science and math. Working alongside people with different life experiences, interests and perspectives helps students create more creative ideas.
