MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN BERBICARA BAHASA JEPANG MELALUI VIDEO PRESENTASI DESTINASI WISATA

The purpose of this study is to examine the use of video presentations as a medium to improve speaking skills in Japanese. Through this activity, students are given the opportunity to compose and communicate information about tourist destinations in Japanese through video presentations. The subjects of this study are fourth-semester students of the D3 Japanese Language Program at UNTAG Semarang. The research used a mixed methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Data were collected from feedback, teacher evaluations, and interviews. The results of the study show that the video presentations are effective in improving students' speaking abilities. From the participants' feedback, the majority of students stated that using video presentations increased their confidence and improved their speaking skills. There was an improvement in organizing ideas, choosing appropriate vocabulary, and delivering information clearly and coherently. Students generally responded positively to the use of presentation tasks. Based on the evaluation scores, video presentations provided relevant and useful contexts to develop Japanese language skills, particularly in adding vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency
