Abstract

ABSTRACT
Construction projects generally have constraints in terms of time, cost, and quality that must be fulfilled in order to achieve optimal project objectives. However, in practice, delays often occur that can affect the overall performance of the project. This research was conducted on the Eka Hospital MT Haryono Jakarta Construction Project, which experienced deviations between the planned schedule and the actual implementation in the field. Based on the S-curve, the project was scheduled to run for 516 calendar days starting in October 2023 and planned to be completed in March 2025; however, by November 2024 the physical progress had only reached 63.48%, far below the planned target of 94.15%. The purpose of this study is to analyze the causes of delays that occurred and to formulate acceleration alternatives using the crashing method through stages of identifying the project's critical path with the Critical Path Method (CPM) approach, estimating duration and resources, and simulating the addition of resources to critical activities by utilizing planned schedules, actual schedules, and supporting field data. Through the implementation of the crashing method on activities located on the critical path by extending working hours, the project originally planned to last for 21 months was successfully shortened to 20 months, with acceleration using effective overtime of 2 hours proving that this method is effective in reducing delays and improving the efficiency of project completion time.
