Abstract

ABSTRAK

Perkembangan kebutuhan konstruksi modern menuntut penggunaan beton dengan kekuatan awal tinggi dan waktu pengerasan yang lebih cepat, terutama pada proyek jalan, prategang, dan perbaikan darurat. Salah satu solusi yang dapat diterapkan
adalah penggunaan beton cepat keras dengan mutu FS 45 yang dioptimalkan pada umur 24 jam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penambahan high range water reducing admixture (HRWR) jenis high superplasticizer terhadap kinerja kuat tekan beton pada umur 1 hari. Metode yang digunakan adalah
eksperimental laboratorium yang dilakukan di laboratorium PT Pionir Beton Industri dengan komposisi high superplasticizer 1,5% dari jumlah semen yang didapat dari perhitungan water cement ratio terhadap campuran beton FS 45. Parameter utama yang diamati meliputi kuat tekan pada umur 24 jam, workability
(slump), dan rasio air terhadap semen (w/c ratio). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan high superplasticizer secara signifikan meningkatkan kemudahan pengerjaan (workability) tanpa menambah kadar air, serta mampu mempercepat perkembangan kuat tekan awal. Komposisi optimum high
superplasticizer sebesar 1,5% terhadap berat semen menghasilkan kuat tekan melebihi 45 MPa dalam waktu 24 jam dengan nilai slump Flow 50+70. Selain itu, pemanfaatan bahan tambahan ini juga berkontribusi pada efisiensi penggunaan air dan semen dalam campuran. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa high superplasticizer efektif dalam mengoptimalkan kinerja beton FS 45 pada umur 1 hari.

ABSTRACT

The growing demands of modern construction require the use of high early-strength concrete with faster setting times, particularly in road projects, prestressed structures, and
emergency repairs. One applicable solution is the use of fast-hardening concrete with a strength class of FS 45, optimized at 24 hours of age. This study aims to examine the effect of adding a high-range water-reducing admixture (HRWR), specifically a high superplasticizer, on the compressive strength performance of concrete at 1-day age. The research method used is laboratory experimentation conducted at PT Pionir Beton Industri, with a high superplasticizer dosage of 1. 5% by weight of cement, based on the calculated water-cement ratio for FS 45 concrete mix. The primary parameters observed
include 24-hour compressive strength, workability (slump), and the water-cement ratio (w/c). The results show that the addition of high superplasticizer significantly improves
workability without increasing the water content, and effectively accelerates early strength development. The optimum composition of 1. 5% superplasticizer relative to the cement
weight resulted in compressive strength exceeding 45 MPa within 24 hours, with a slump flow value of 50+70. Furthermore, the use of this admixture contributes to improved efficiency in water and cement usage within the mix. In conclusion, high superplasticizer is effective in optimizing the performance of FS 45 concrete at 1-day age.
